The Drone Centre offers hands-on training to equip you with the skills and practical knowledge to produce on-field excellence. We are a DCAA certified RPAS training center and licensed trainers for DJI, SenseFly, Flyability and Pix4D products.

RPAS Commercial Training

Our quality policy is aimed to achieve the highest standards of RPAS operating safety by ensuring the highest possible standard of Aeronautical Knowledge, Risk management, Safety Policy and Advanced level RPAS Flight Training. Quality standards are set through the procedures defined in the Operations, Training Manual and CAR-UAS Part IV, and are monitored.

Drone Training

We aim to achieve the highest standards of RPAS flight training and ensure that the applicant can safely manage the risks of RPAS Piloting and strictly comply with DCAA and GCAA rules and regulations. We developed the RPAS Pilot training program with the goal to drive a systematic approach to all components of the RPAS Certification.

Upon completion the pilot will be equipped with necessary knowledge and skill to safely carry out commercial RPAS (drone) operation.

Knowledge Classes:

Lectures will be delivered via on screen presentations by a lecturer with each student having a printed booklet of materials of CAR-UAS, Study Materials and Technical documents of the RPAS on which they will be trained.

 

Knowledge Test:

Knowledge tests are conducted to evaluate the knowledge of the students. Successful students will be continuing with flight training session. Those who are not successful will undergo Knowledge classes again for retest.

Simulator Sessions:

Simulator will begin by the instructor providing an overview of the skill to be developed, the correct procedure to be followed and two demonstrations on the simulator. The participants will have an opportunity now to ask any questions. The students will then each attempt to reproduce the instructor’s maneuvers.

 

On-Field Flight Training:

Students will be taken to the flying field and practice maneuvers and emergency procedures during the course. Step by step procedures are followed as per the training manual.

 

Flight Test:

Flight Test are conducted to evaluate the students UAS flying skills. Successful students will be awarded certification and apply for RPAS certification issued by DCAA. Those who are not successful will undergo more flight training sessions for retest.

 

Certification:

Students who successfully pass the Knowledge and flight test will be issued RPAS Training Certificate which can then be applied to get RPAS License from DCAA.

Drone-mapping-training

Plan your flight, Collect Data, and Process. Completing this course gives you the professional competency needed to carry out commercial drone Mapping and Surveying missions successfully. This course is specially crafted to provide participants a hands-on experience, equip them with innate skills and practical knowledge to be efficient and safe surveyors.

The goal of safety management system is to identify safety-related hazards and mitigate the associated risks proactively. This section teaches the participants on the six-step formal risk management decision-making process.

Efficient Mission Planning:

A theory class on the best practices to ensure mission success. This class equips you with the knowledge and technical know-how necessary to plan resource-efficient, effective, and fast missions.
 

Mission Specific Planning:

Conditions can vary from project to project. This session gives you the intuitive knowledge that lets you consider mission parameters and craft specialized plans.

 

Local Rules and Regulations:

A firm grasp of the local rules and regulations is absolutely critical to successful mission planning. This session delves into matters of the law and how to draft mission plans that are compliant and efficient.

Mission Execution Overview:

Designed to equip you with the on-field skills to ensure your flight's success. An insightful session that introduces the standard flight procedures and provides you with the essential pre-flight and post-flight checklists.

 

Field Flying Exercises:

Field flying exercises that give you practical experience on how to execute missions safely and efficiently. Students will be taken to the flying field and practice maneuvers and emergency procedures during the course. Step-by-step procedures are followed as per the training manual.

Introduction to Photogrammetry & Processing Techniques:

Introduction to photogrammetry course will study and apply the concepts and procedures of photogrammetry. This course also introduces the various data processing software and how to best use it.

 

Hands-on Image Processing Software Training:

An interactive session where participants will be guided through the processing software and follow a step-by-step tutorial to process a sample set of data.

Visual  Thermal & Other Sensors:

Different types of data or sensors have their best practices. This session introduces the participants to the standard sensors you would interact with on the field and how to produce effective results using the sensors.

Introduction Cloud Reporting Platform:

A guided session introducing reporting platforms, their function and how to efficiently compile reports on the platform. This session helps participants understand the platform thoroughly and avoid any beginner pitfalls when generating reports or inputting data.

 

Industry Specific Training:

Reporting format and pertinent data changes from industry to industry. The instructor explains the nuances of each industry, what type of data to collect and how to compile the final report efficiently.
