7 Reasons Why You Should Be Talking About the DJI M30

DJI M30 series
Nothing gets us more excited than a good drone— and we haven’t been this excited in a long time. Enterprise level drones are extremely powerful but logging them around has always been a point of contention. Not anymore, not with the M30 series. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Starting from the top, here are the reasons why we think you should be talking about the DJI M30 series.

Powerful Performance

Making a piece of tech more compact usually leads to a compromise in some aspect. We are happy to report that this isn’t the case with the M30. The DJI M300 and M30 almost have identical stats across the board— from wind resistance to transmission range. Where it does deviate is when it comes to the IP Rating and Flight Time. The M30 has a slightly lower flight time of 41 minutes; however it is half the weight of the M300 and is IP55 rated making it more durable than the M300 RTK.

Portability

When we’re on inspection or surveying & mapping jobs, we find ourselves in increasingly remote locations or difficult terrain. You don’t want to be lugging around heavy, awkward-to-handle equipment in these situations. Weighing in at 3.77 kgs the M30 is both lightweight and easy to carry. The best part is that the M30 folds up small enough to fit into a backpack.

Reliable & Robust

When evaluating commercial drone safety & reliability are major concerns; And that’s why the DJI M300 RTK has been our preferred drone for inspections. With the M30 being IP 55 rated we anticipate that the DJI m30 series will be as rugged if not even more so than the M300 RTK. The M30 is fully equipped to perform in harsh environments.

It’s able to perform in light rain— but for us in the UAE, it’s more exciting that it’s resistant to high wind speeds and extreme temperatures. With an operational range between -20 celsius and 50 celsius, the M30 has your back. This allows you to deliver results even in challenging situations.

DJI Dock

Completely autonomous operations is the future; The DJI Dock is a massive leap forward in that direction. The DJI M30 Dock edition will allow you to keep tabs on your critical infrastructure in real-time, even in remote locations. You can plan your flight missions remotely and execute them- all from the comfort of your office. The weather proof DJI Dock ensures that the M30 is charged and ready to fly at a moment’s notice.

New Controller Experience

Strictly, this may not be tied to the M30, but we’re just too excited about the new controller; the DJI RC Plus. Previously, while the drone was weather resilient, the controller definitely wasn’t. This led to some awkward scenarios where the observer had to hold an umbrella over the pilot, or the pilot had to huddle into a corner. The RC plus is IP54 rated, making it even more durable and almost as resilient as the drone it controls.

When you combine this with the large 7 inch display and ergonomic button layout, this controller is a dream come true and a valuable asset to drone missions.

Flight Ready in Seconds

Every aspect of the M30 was designed to make it easy to deploy at a moment’s notice. While commercial drones have appendages like landing gear that need to be screwed or bolted on. The 3.77 kg DJI M30 comes in one compact package. Just unfold the wings and you’re ready to fly. This factor may seem to only contribute to convenience; but in the Public Safety & Security sector every second shaved could result in a life saved.

Reason #7

We’ve just released the M30 in the UAE, if you couldn’t make it to the event, here’s the highlights reel. We are beyond excited to be bringing this powerful yet compact drone to the Middle East. What that means is, you can get your very own DJI M30 or the M30T! Get in touch to secure your piece.
